Hello! I recently read about a concept called Time Dilation.
As you get older, the same amount of time occupies a smaller and smaller fraction of your life.
When you're a year old, one year represents your entire life. Whereas by the time you're 10, one year represents 1/10th, or 10% of your life. By 20, it's 5%. By 50, 2%.
As you age, time seems to speed up. Real time passes by at the same pace, but the number of new experiences decreases.
By the time you're in your early 20s, you've already experienced half of the things life has to offer.

Novel experiences slow time, routine accelerates it.
The lesson here is to strive to live a more eventful life. Do stuff that scares you. Experience the length and breadth of life.
Besides time dilation, visualizing how many days you have left helps drive the point home about how short life really is. I've made something just for that - I'd love for you to check it out.
